Job Forum: UCLMempleo 2009
On the forthcoming October 21st, Albacete will host the UCLMempleo Employment Forum, which will take place for the fifth time. The previous four years, UCLMempleo has experienced a huge success by bringing closer approximately 70 institutions and companies and more than 4000 students from the different campuses of our university.
What is a Job Forum?
A Job Forum gives students and newly graduates the chance to find their first job by providing them with a meeting point created on purpose.
Fair exhibitors of companies, presentations, debate forums, training for job-seekers and sections devoted to specific professional sectors are combined for the benefit of the attendants.
A single physical space shows the current employment and training needs, facilitates the connection between job-seekers and companies looking forward to filling their vacancies, and allows the exchange of ideas and experiences between candidates and experts in human resource management and training.
What additional values does UCLMempleo offer?
The University of Castilla-La Mancha consists of several university campuses in Albacete, Almadén, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Toledo and Talavera.
On this occasion, it is Albacete that will be hosting UCLMempleo. But students from the other campuses are provided with a free bus system that will allow their transportation to the headquarters of UCLMempleo, in Albacete’s 8,000-student campus.
Furthermore, companies that take part in the forum gain access to a significant amount of university final-year students and newly graduates, which makes possible the carrying out of in-situ recruitment processes.
Who can attend?
Students, newly graduates and companies.
It provides an excellent opportunity for university students and newly graduates willing to establish contacts to get their first job.
In fact, these forums are sometimes known as "First Job Fairs," since the goal is to help young graduates leap into the job market. Our students will be able to contact companies displaying a wide range of profiles and aspirations.
The participating companies are obviously interested in contacting highly qualified graduates with solid training.
What benefits can be obtained?
Companies can save money searching for qualified workers.
Students and newly graduates can get in touch with the labor market. They can reinforce their training by learning useful job-searching tools.
How you can take part in UCLMempleo?
Companies have several forms of participation such as:
Most of these requirements are managed by the Forum’s technical department of human resources, to whom staff recruitment policies can be exposed, and who which will offer their assistance for job interviews to be conducted at the Forum.
